Got an extra ten grand lying around?

Because if you do, Sotheby's has the auction for you. It's a huge collection of ancient manuscripts, and it's quite neat: 53 lots, most of them period or pre-period, including things like a charter from King John, a fragment from an unknown Greek play, and ancient manuscript copy of Herodotus, and so on. And it's cheap! Some of the items are estimated at only three to five thousand pounds! (Some are rather more expensive.)

Well worth going and ogling the items on the website, at least...
