I agree with etheria. It's VERY difficult for even relatively informed Americans to fully accept Siesta, and Siesta is much longer than popular culture misrepresentation leads us to expect -- it includes not merely the nap (which in turn is longer than we expect), but also lunch and family time.
Unrelated to Siesta: I grew up thinking of 7-8 as supper time; my first year of college I had a hard time with supper -- the dining hall closed at 7.
