Similar idea here, but this isn't climbing or base-jumping, so there's no "wall" involved -- ziplining is mostly horizontal movement, in something fairly similar to a rock-climbing harness (they spent a fair while putting us into the harnesses before we headed out to the course), but hanging from a pulley that is attached to a (fairly thick, metal) cord strung between two posts posts (think telephone poles, but much thicker).
