I remember the character name solely because it was preserved through all three incarnations of the concept. Both in the original Roddenberry versions (Genesis II and Planet Earth), and in the modern remake (Andromeda) the hero is always named Dylan Hunt. And I actually liked Andromeda until it had a brainectomy after the first season or two...
