OK, now I'm intimidated. I'm trying out recipes on people with more cookbooks than I'm comfortable imagining. Perhaps that explains some of the more helpful criticism.

I do not want dupes, either. I'm trying to weed out my recipe and cookbook collection. Sadly, many of the recipes I collected (but didn't try) through the years actually taste pretty good.
