Hamilton Sing-Along

Almost done with a *very* long weekend at Arisia. Generally been a great time -- worked hard, got to spend lots of time with friends, and have had a lot of fun.

But I'll call out tonight's unexpected joy: the Hamilton Sing-Along. Exactly what it sounds like: something like 80 people in a room, with the Hamilton soundtrack playing, folks scrolling the lyrics on a big projector, and a little bit of floorshow from the folks who've done this before. It wouldn't have occurred to me that it's a show that *can* work for sing-along, but while it's a bit challenging it turns out to be a blast with a crowd like that.

Yes, that's a minion in a crown, which folks were pulling out during all of King George's songs. Totally sets the right tone, and gives you an idea of the evening.

How odd. I can see the pic on FB, but here all I see is a broken-pic-link icon, with the caption "His Royal Yellowness".

Verdammt Google. It must be some sort of permissions error, although I don't know what. I confirmed that it worked in an Incognito window yesterday, but it doesn't work today for some reason. (It *does* show properly in a logged-into-Google window, so that's almost certainly the problem...)

Okay, I think it's fixed. Check again? (Man, Google makes this way, way too hard. Need to choose a better photo hosting provider.)

... wow, this is an amazing misfeature even by Google's standards. There turns out to be *no* way to embed an image directly from Google.

Fortunately, the industry rushes in to fill any functional vacuum; I just found this nice little website that takes any given image page, scrapes it, and spits out the link you need.

So far, it seems to work for me. Try again?
