It's basically a Gish Gallop. There are too many scandals to fight them.

The really remarkable thing is that there are almost too many scandals to keep *track* of them.

I think Jon Oliver really hit the nail on the head when he pointed out, this past week, that at the same point in Obama's term, the big "scandal" surrounding him was that he liked Dijon Mustard on hamburgers. It makes a fine reminder that This Is Not Normal...
