Today in Popehat

(Greater Davis Square -- we punch above our weight in legal controversy!)

Today's Popehat article describes how Anthony Scaramucci -- yes, that Scaramucci, the one who was too crass for the Trump White House -- is, no shit, suing a Tufts student for defamation in the student newspaper. The article is every bit as polite about this frivolous junk case as you'd expect.

Pass it on -- Scaramucci richly deserves to get Streisanded right out of Tufts' collective life here...

And Tufts has already 'postponed' his scheduled appearance on campus. https://www.chronicle.com/article/Tufts-Postpones-Appearance-by/241879

And in today's update, he's resigned from his Tufts Fletcher school board position. https://www.chronicle.com/article/After-Lawsuit-Threat-and/241892

He's definitely reaping what he sows.

He appears to have missed the memo on the Streisand Effect.

You know, the late unlamented President of my University sued one of the editors of the school paper for defamation. This was shortly before his pet Board of Trustees (whom he took on a junket to Greece every year at University expense, and most of whom had profitable contracts from the University, in exchange for making him the second-highest-paid University President in the country while the University couldn't afford to buy books for the library) was thrown out by the State, and the new Board of Trustees threw the President out on his backside.

Suing a student journalist really doesn't look good.
