Definition of "us"

So we're figuring out what furniture we need to buy now, to furnish the new house properly. What do we wind up with?

A new bed;
A sofa;
A chaise longe (okay, that hadn't been intended, but it's *so* comfy);
And 13 more bookcases. So far.

Yeah, that sounds about right...

The place in Natick that advertises Stressless chairs in the Boston Globe Magazine every week for a thousand bucks? They sell sturdy, attractive IKEA-ish flatpack bookshelves for $45 each. 13 is not an unreasonable number at that price...

The IKEA ones are $29.99 and $59.99, depending on height, which isn't bad either. (To be fair, some of those 13 are the short ones to fit under windows and so on.)

I just put three short ones under our rear window, and a painted board on top, and now we have a plant window. Am very happy.

Not Ikea, just Staples-cheapie. The IKEA ones, if they really do support teh 60 pounds per *shelf* that their website says, are worth the hassle of their acquisition. All others I've ever seen are up to 40 pounds/shelf, depending.

Sounds about right, yes.

The question that leaps to mind is to ask just where all the books for those 13 new bookcases currently reside?

Our house, our attic, and Storage Depot :)
