Cutting through the tax-and-spend rhetoric

Nice article in BusinessWeek this week -- it does some basic analysis of both Obama's and McCain's tax proposals, and what they really imply. Fairly short and quite clear that Obama's proposals look like the better bet for society overall: while far from fixing all of the fiscal wounds, he probably makes considerably more progress than McCain does, while having negligable negative impact on the vast majority of citizens. It's a good antidote to show people who are buying into McCain's largely false tax-and-spend accusations about Obama...

Congressional Budget Office has been doing some analysis of that sort of thing as well.

Interesting. Remember when fiscal economy was a Republican-only thing?
