The weird temptation of familiar sights

On the one hand, "Paul Blart, Mall Cop" looks like a *terrible* movie, one that I would never give a thought to normally.

On the other hand, it was mostly shot right here in the Burlington Mall, and we spent *months* walking our way around those damned sets. (For instance, we had two Christmases this year, because they shot that segment in July or some such, and had to doll up the mall appropriately.)

So the curiosity, it burns. Probably almost as much as the badness will if I do watch it...

You can slake your curiosity when it comes to various television channels next December, and the year after that, and... and...

I'd avoid the theaters, where open ridicule is frowned on as too noisy.

Creepy

Enh. The whole idea of mall guards on Segways is kind of creepy in the first place. Last Friday, when I went into the bathroom at the Burlington Mall and found one of the guards by the sink, on his Segway. He didn't seem to be waiting for anybody; he was there the whole time I was, at least. He was just loitering, and blocking one of the two sinks.

Remember, once you've seen it, there's no way to unsee it.

My eyes still burn from having seen the Anakin & Amidala romance scenes in Attack of the Clones.

Pet Cemetery 2 was shot in my hometown and around. My HS friends and I waited until it came out of Video, rented and had a heckling party wherein we pointed out people we knew, places we knew, and threw (unbuttered) popcorn at the screen etc.

Perhaps that might be the best approach for this...

*laugh* The TV version was filmed in my home town (where it was sorta originally set). Watching it was really odd because they would be driving up in the park, turn a corner and there would be the Stanley Hotel. Which is in the middle of town.
