Winning in a walkover isn't that much fun

[Happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] auntie_elspeth!]

I just heard the TV announcers talking about what's going to happen in the second half, which woke me up to the fact that the football game hasn't gotten to halftime yet.

We're winning 38-0.

I love the Patriots, and root for them. But this has long since passed the point of feeling a sort of uncomfortable embarrassment here...

Make that 45-0 at the half. Given how lousy the Titans' starts with D was in the second quarter (I don't think it can actually be called a defense) and Belichick's general outlook, I'm wondering if a 100+ - 0 final score is an actual possibility.

51-0. But not entirely a surprise; it's snowing, which they love, and they've got Tennessee - who likely hate the snow.

... but nobody ever got five TD passes in a quarter before... Yes if this were little league they'd have called it already.

Hey, it gives the backup a chance to play some real football is craptacular conditions. Not sure if that's a bonus or not...
