thx for report. It can be problem with different domains. User have email like: john@googlemail.com (or enother). We send invitation to john@gmail.com.
Google can redirect it from gmail.com to googlemail.com (or enother). Can you ask domainname?
Or yoy can just share topic with link and send link to your friend
