"Noise" is a bit in the eye of the beholder. It's still data, and should still be preserved -- it'll go into the "comment" field in the final DB. But the problem is, it's currently just mixed up in an undifferentiated string that is *mostly* the award name, and the award name is an important matching field.
So it's "noise" from the viewpoint of trying to normalize the data. But it's still data...
