To give credit where it is due: most of my quote can originally be attributed to Eowyn. She and I worked at the MIT activities fair a few days before the interview request came in, and the pitch she made at prospective MITGaard members was fresh in my mind. In the original interview, I prefaced my remarks with "as a friend of mine says." Sadly, that appears to have been left out.
