So you'd think it's reasonable for a job and continuing education, together, to take up someone's entire life leaving no time for a hobby, and call that a choice with professional consequences rather than an abusive job?
...well, that's certainly the way the majority of professions are headed, but I think it's wrongheaded and the end result is that you get burnout, which has *worse* professional consequences.
