Yeah, I'm painfully conscious of that one. And the lag time is one of the main reasons why I'm cautious about just relying on Slack (which various folks have recommended), which is good at lightly-async conversation, but IME sort of so-so at heavily-async. (And not great at conversations requiring large blocks of information at a time.)
