We didn't know about the tower tours when we went to Sagrada Familia, but I think that staircase would have freaked me out too, so that's just as well. :-)
I didn't know a lot about Gaudi's work before visiting the same two places you visited, but I, too, found it all very impressive. And curvy. I love that ballroom under the park -- such cool pillars!
