Banishments Everywhere
Oct. 27th, 2003 01:00 pmI just happened to be reading through the summary of the most recent Board Meeting. Mostly the usual business. But I'm very struck by the fact that they had fully ten items of business relating to banishments, most of them absolute banishments of one flavor or another. Surely this didn't used to be so common. I wonder if this says something about the evolution of the Society, that, for whatever reason, a lot more people are getting kicked out of the club.
Only one was anyone I know anything about -- Paul Serio. This seems to be the epilogue to the Duke Aonghais story: years after it became a more or less moot point (since he's unlikely to be able to ever attend any more events), they formally kicked him out and stripped him of his white belt. Don't know why they decided to do it now, though; it seems a curiously late postscript...
