That led me to a BBS thread where the couple defend themselves, none too ably -- as a lot of people there point out, regardless of how little "reality TV" has to do with reality, altogether too many people *do* believe this stuff. There's nothing in this exercise except tsurris for the SCA, as we get to spend the next year dealing with people whose first reaction is, "Hey, were you those loonies on TV?".
And there, at the bottom of the page, after that entire aggravating thread, is the advertisement: "Lower Your Blood Pressure" with this "clinically proven device". Perfect product placement, if ever I've seen it...
