Thanks to Aaron for the link to this list of "19 Best Ads I Have Ever Seen". Unlike the usual TV-ad lists, this is more focused on brilliant uses of static media -- posters and sculptures and the like. Really quite an extraordinary collection: innovative, eye-catching, occasionally rather disturbing (eg, the Sopranos and Finding Nemo 2 ads). Worth looking through for sheer entertainment value...

For those who know him, Aaron (my apprentice Gundormr) has finally broken down and created a blog for himself. It's not LJ (he still generally doesn't do social networks), but I've syndicated it into [livejournal.com profile] wiglaf_aaronm, and you can log into the blog and comment with your LJ handle. It mostly consists of links he finds interesting, heavy on jewelry, design and the Just Plain Odd.
