On the one hand, I happen to think the issue being discussed on this particular mailing list is important, and I'm glad to see it coming up.

OTOH, discussing it on a closed mailing list that doesn't necessarily include those with the power to make decisions doesn't accomplish much. And logging in to find 106 new messages from that list alone is more depressing than inspiring...
