State of the Justin

People still come up to me pretty often, and ask very earnestly, "How are you doing?" -- usually with an obvious nervous expectation that I'm putting a brave face over the trauma.

So let's say it clearly and unambiguously: I'm doing well. Oh, there are still bad moments here and there, but the Synchronicity Train has been working out for me better than I had hoped: by really opening my heart and mind to the world, and taking each moment as it comes, I've found more friendship and joy and even love than I would have believed possible two months ago. I'm not going to go into details here quite yet, but suffice it to say that I'm finding myself genuinely happy for the first time in too long.

The hugs are still more than welcome -- frankly, they've done much to help me, since I'm a fundamentally tactile person. But by and large, I'm really not broken any more. My thanks to all the friends, old and new, who've helped me get to that point...
