Regarding the "value," your description sounds remarkably like the Disney experiences that (my) Mark and I have had. Disney is *expert* at separating you from your money; I called our trip "going to worship the great round-eared god of capitalism." BUT - Disney gives absolutely full value for that money - the food is good, the parks are clean and well maintained, and the "cast members" are *always* pleasant (even at points when I'd need to kill someone). And the experiences (rides, shows, etc.) are always greatly enjoyable. (I remember going to the Universal Studios Theme Park in Orlando one evening for a company function. I went on the "Jurassic Park" ride, and saw several broken dinosaurs. That would *never* be allowed to happen at Disney.)
We save our money and go whenever we can, which is about every five years. Maybe next time, we'll try a cruise . . .
