So I can reasonably expect to get at least one variant of The Nigeria Spam every day (the hazard of being conspicuous online). Today's was cleverer than most -- it claims to be from a multi-millionaire who is dying of something, who wants to leave all his money to charity, and if only I would dedicate myself to the task of finding the right charities he would give me a quarter of his Immense Fortune. The note tells me that he thinks I'm probably the right person to do this job, and don't I want a part of forty million dollars? Tugs at both the heartstrings and the wallet.

All of which might be a lot more convincing if he'd ever heard of the "Bcc:" style of email. It's a lot less convincing when the message has several hundred people on the "To:" line...
