I don't know what "all the tricks" means for you, but I've found that a relaxing bath and chamomile tea helps me a lot. I also have a CD that I play only when I'm getting to sleep.
Also, make sure that the bed is only for sleep and recreational activities with msmemory. If you do other stuff in bed (read, watch TV, etc) then your brain won't realize that the bed is for sleep and will want to do something else.
