Yeah, I may well take pretty much that approach -- or at least, provide just the minimum support necessary to make CommYou functional under IE6, and triage the resulting look-and-feel bugs pretty mercilessly, potentially never getting to them. That may be the best compromise under the circumstances: giving the people who have no choice the ability to use IE6 when they must, but focusing my efforts on better browsers...
