Actually, it's even funnier if you've read the book, which it's much more closely based on. It sounds like it predates the movie, and includes a few visual jokes that are *not* in the movie.
And I agree that it's not really a spoiler. Indeed, this could practically be included in the movie's opening montage: it is *clearly* the theme to the 1970s cartoon show based on the team. *Everything* about it is horribly wrong, but you have to know the story to understand why...
