Useful food for thought; thanks. No chance that I would be riding without a good helmet -- I had a bad spill as a teenager, and have a *very* good appreciation for helmet safety as a result. (One major concussion was quite enough.) But the course is certainly worth thinking about, as well as the relative prices of the devices...
