If Bush was running against Jesus
Sep. 14th, 2004 04:32 pmI've mostly been avoiding reposting links as I desperately attempt to catch up on my post-Worldcon LJ reading (yes, I'm still several days behind), since I don't know what has already made the rounds. But this fake ad (thanks,
chaiya) is nasty-funny enough to be worth a pointer, in case a few people haven't seen it yet...
(no subject)
Date: 2004-09-15 08:16 pm (UTC)I came across that a few days ago, printed it (in color) and put it on the bulletin-board in the kitchen at work. Today my boss asked me if I read the bulletin board.
"Yeah, sometimes."
"Have you seen this?" (handing me a photocopy)
"I put that there."
My boss, mind you, is a Christian who grew up in a conservative protestant church in the backwoods of Maine. He's also a graduate of MIT, and I can only think of it as a testament to education that he is now a Congregationalist whose pastor favors gay marriage. He thought it was about the funniest thing he'd ever seen.
