Amusement of the day: the header "Please click "Not Spam" above" seems to be the single most reliable predictor of spam I am observing nowadays. I wonder if Google is factoring it into their algorithms...

I don't know (and, if I did, I couldn't say); but my bet is that, if lots of those messages are getting tagged as spam for other reasons, Gmail has learned to recognize that phrase. It's not as smart as you, but it sees a lot more spam. :-)
