Following on from my post last week about tired MBA cliches, [livejournal.com profile] serakit came up with Cliche Bingo. This is an innovation that needs to happen. (And I suspect somebody could make a pretty penny selling bingo sets online...)

So are you going to mutualize the synergies of the most recent paradigm shift?

This could be another fun jargon game: make the most convoluted jargon-sentences you can and then provide plain English translations.

Any Bill before any legislative branch of the government would be a good test for it. ;)

Based on an experience at a company I worked for a few years back, I'm almost certain there's an app freely available somewhere that lets you feed it a set of words or phrases and prints out a set of bingo cards. (Actually, I'd be surprised if it wasn't a smartphone app by now.)

A co-worker at a company that shall remain nameless found such a thing and produced "buzzword bingo" cards for us all to use when our CEO called a company meeting. We all paid much closer attention than we ever had before to the CEO (we were a remote office, so we were on a conference call), but he might have found the occasional cheer at a random non-applause line in his presentation disconcerting.

Back when Al Gore gave the MIT commencement address, someone had passed out Buzzword Bingo cards to the graduates. On getting an unexpected shout at some comment, Gore, who'd apparently been told about it, said that someone must have just gotten a bingo.
