Cool. While I was growing up my father had an employee who was part-owner of an orchard farm in Florida. Every January we'd get a crate of the orchard produce including kumquats, which only my dad and I would eat - the rest of the family turned their noses up at them.
I only discovered them a year or two ago, but they've become my favorite fruit when I can get them. The perfect kumquat blends sweet, sour and bitter in just the right proportions -- it's a treat...
