Invitation: ScalaBridge Boston

On October 20th, the Rue Gilt Groupe in downtown Boston will be sponsoring the second ScalaBridge Boston. This is an all-day tutorial, aimed at helping anyone from under-represented groups (loosely defined, but roughly "not an affluent white guy") get into programming in general, and Scala in specific. It's specifically aimed at folks who are early in the programming journey, rather than experienced hackers.

I'm helping run the thing, and am optimistic -- last year we got something like 60 attendees, and it was a real blast. I'd encourage any of my friends who think it's appropriate for them to come for the day.

I'll put it into circulation at work. We have some folks interested in becoming Scala programmers, and some folks who aren't AWGs, though I'm not sure if the two groups overlap...
