I think it's time we had a talk.

Yes, I know that you're worried. I'm worried. We're all worried. We're all quite aware that the upcoming election is of existential importance. We need to get out the vote, and you need to spend a lot of money doing so.

That said -- I'm not sure your current messaging is helping. An email now and then to talk things through, sure -- I get that you're going through tough times, and need to talk it out. But when you're emailing me every day, and every email has a subject line like "DESPERATE" (two days ago) or "Re: awful news" (yesterday), that just makes me depressed and uninterested in having a conversation. It doesn't help me get fired up about spending the next several months working together.

Seriously: take a deep breath, maybe have an adult beverage of your choice, and chill out a little. It's a tough time, but as they say: this is a marathon, not a sprint. We all need to stay fired-up and determined, but that's not the same thing as terrified and depressed.

Sincerely,
A frequent donor who would prefer not to spam-list you

Yes, I'm feeling the same at this point. I understand things are actually quite serious... however, the daily emails add to my stress.

I have lost track of the number of times I have texted STOP to some random campaign in the past 3 weeks. This is just stupid.
