Quick heads-up: the Kickstarter for volume 10 of Dumbing of Age is now live. The full catch-up collection of all ten books is only $25 for the PDF edition, and well worth it.
I reviewed the series here. Suffice it to say, this is my favorite college-humor story: a usually sweet, frequently very funny daily strip with its fair share of dark turns as our protagonists deal with the national cultural divide pretty head-on.
Check it out...

I would potentially be interested in getting the PDFs, but if I do I'm going to want to read them on my tablet, not at my desk (I spend too much time at my desk already and this is leisure reading that should go well with a recliner and optional cat). PDFs aren't always easy to read without a bunch of extra scrolling, especially for those of us who need a little zoom. Would you be able to send me one or two random pages from any of the PDFs, specifically for the purpose of me evaluating whether I would be able to see them well enough to read if I bought the series? I promise to delete them after testing. (I looked for a sample in this format on the Kickstarter but didn't see one. Which isn't surprising; they're going to highlight the comics, not the publication form factor.)

Date: 2021-03-30 08:10 pm (UTC)Yeah, at some point I might track down the rest of the Walkyverse, although note that Dumbing of Age is a reboot -- largely the same characters, but restarting the story from the beginning with a very different (and significantly less science-fictional) viewpoint, much more focused on the women, and rethinking some of the decisions from the first time around.
