Reflects our upbringings, I suspect -- I get the impression that your family is a *lot* more conservative than mine. We've just drifted towards a reasonably sensible middle...

of course my family is more conservative, they are russian jews :) _i_ am more conservative. it si the fact that this chart claims we agree that i find entertaining... i didn't think we agreed on anything politically...

Oh, I don't know. Our reflexes are pretty different, but when we get skeptical I think we wind up closer. I mean, Libertarian is the broad "stay out of my business" category. There's a lot of room for variation in that, but it doesn't surprise me to find us at the opposite ends of that same category.

Bear in mind, by the standards of most of our friends, and indeed by the standards of my family, I *am* relatively conservative -- that is, I'm essentially an economic centrist, which makes me conservative by MA standards...
