So it is time to get the Low Company of Gamester and Gamblers going again -- I'd like to have a meeting sometime towards the end of this month. First, though, I want to reality-check the details, and generally find out what people prefer in terms of schedule and context. So to that end, the following poll. I ask any Carolingians who are interested in learning and practicing period games to please fill this out, so that I can take it into account when setting up future meetings.

None of the following commits you to anything -- this is just asking about what's likely.

I wasn't sure how to answer the transport question since it's preferable for me that the location be T accessible *or* away from the city. I'll drive to your house in Burlington; I wouldn't drive any further into the city than say, Arlington. Of course, it's easier to drag random new people to a T accessible thing.

I can't believe you even put Wednesday nights as an option. :)

I'm sorry - I can't reply to your question about a source for deelieboppers at the original site so I'm highjacking your reply function. I have given away my copy of the research but do remember that the manuscript was by "The anonymous french artist" or somesuch around the mid 1300s and a fascimile copy can be found in "The History of Toys" by (I believe) Antonia Fraser. I searched for a while to see if I could find a copy of the manuscript online but it was no good. Ms. Fraser's book has a lovely large color copy of it, though. :) I think it's a fine use for a coif.

Not on the poll but interesting - Waltham is far more seductive if it occurs on a weeknight for me. Because I live on the South side, but work on the West side, I tend not to go westerly on weekends...

But then I'm one of the "occasional" folks - so maybe not your target audience.

I can't come regularly, but if the meetings happened more often, my odds of being able to attend would probably go *way* up -- all too often, with irregular meetings, the meetings just happen to fall on dates that I am busy, even if they are on *days* when I am not *usually* busy.

I would be willing to host on occasion, if you are looking for hosts to shift the location around as in the past.
