So I just read about the death of Ken Lay (heart attack, this morning), and my immediate gut reaction was, "Too convenient -- clearly faked his own death." It rather bothers me that, on an intuitive level, that seems more plausible to me than him simply succumbing to the stress. My carefully-honed sense of cliche has gotten a bit out of hand...

There are some who believe he's now undead... (http://idragosani.livejournal.com/213218.html)

I know someone who died a month ago the same way (heart attack in his sleep) at age nearly 64. Two people is too few for a trend, but my immediate Ken Lay thought was to start wondering who else in his early 60s will die soon.

Has he got a son? And if so, has anyone checked for brain-transplant scars?

I think it's just the beginning of sweeps week for politics...look for a new character to be introduced soon. They tried putting Obama up on the drama to appeal to the black crowd, but he doesn't seem to have the staying power; maybe another corporate scandal, but this time with a crippled left-handed Polish candlestick-maker to cater to the folks in Peoria.

There are way too many of us out here who think this.

Perhaps he'll be the Jimmy Hoffa of this era.

What I want to know is, will the Shrub be conspicuous by his lack of condolences to the widow? Since he seems to have forgotten all about his old buddy, Kennyboy, if there was any written communication, I'd love to be able to read it...
