I believe I have found the upper end of the word "boo-boo"

My body is prone to strange ailments. Chest pains, foot pains, stomach pains -- all of these hit from time to time, and aggravate largely due to their mysterious nature. This is *not* one of those.

Summary: Bookcase. Foot. Bam. It's truly remarkable how much blood can come out of the little toe when you split the nail diagonally.

Time for a bunch of ibuprofen, and thence bed...

OUCH, man. My sincere sympathies. It is astonishing how much one relatively minnor part of your body can hurt when it's been outraged, isn't it?

Yaas, although I think this one is going to be more inconvenience than pain, knock on wood. After being loosely bandaged overnight, the pain is pretty manageable. But I suspect I'm going to have to keep it bandaged and change the dressing daily until the nail grows out, which is going to take a while...
