I've gotten a proper account on Dreamwidth; I'm even paying for it for this year, to help give the project a fighting chance. (Can't afford a Seed Account at this point, though.) I confess, I have a fair amount of inertia, so my tendency will be to stick with LJ, but if friends start moving more over to here, I may pay more attention to it.
It's a good start, anyway -- Dreamwidth seems to have addressed one or two common complaints about LJ. That said, so far, they aren't doing enough that's New, Different and Interesting to make me switch, but they seem to have a good attitude, and it wouldn't be hard to be more imaginative than LJ is these days. LJ has largely settled into a comfortable niche, and that's always the enemy of innovation. DW is going to need to fight to survive, so they might be more likely to come up with good ideas...
