New Scientist is always good for articles about the most preposterous new tech. Check out this article about a new "telepathic" microphone. Basically, it can be trained to read nerve impulses, so you can "speak" wirelessly without actually saying anything out loud. You just *know* that this is going to show up in the next James Bond flick...

Geez for about twenty years now, I've wanted a user interface based on subvocal voice recognition and eye tracking for pointer movement, so I could, to all appearances, sit and look at the screen and stuff would just happen.

(As a bonus, I'd add an eyeglasses virtual screen so no one could tell whether I was working or napping as long as I didn't snore...)
