Thanks to jadasc (over on Twitter) for the pointer to Repo, The Genetic Opera -- *surely* the strangest thing I've heard about in ages. It's an apocalyptic sci-fi rock opera about organ harvesting -- Repo Man with gore -- starring (among others) Anthony Head, Sarah Brightman and Paris Hilton.

No, really -- it's apparently not an April Fool's joke: check out the over-the-top but oddly catchy trailer on YouTube, and the official site. Indeed, they've got a bunch of music clips online at the site. Looks bizarre as hell, but real -- likely to be a cult classic at the least, and possibly rather fun in a Sweeney-esque vein...

I've been hearing about this one for a while now, and were it not for ASH's role, I probably wouldn't be interested in seeing it. But I trust him to only take interesting parts at this stage in his career, so I'll probably check it out.
