Thanks to Peter David for posting this video. It's from "Miss South Carolina: The Musical", and it's simply the infamous geography-and-education speech set to music. While I agree with Peter that the poor girl got far more grilling than she deserved, this word-for-word copy (with excellent comic timing inserted) is scary-funny:



(And may I just observe that it is *astonishingly* hard to force my fingers to type "Carolina", without inserting an extra "gi" at the end there...)

That's funny. All I got was some illiterate girl singing about The Iraq. Where are the jogging nudists?

I didn't think that much of the song---it was, after all, hampered by the lyricist---but I thought the gestures and facial acting of the singer were marvelous.
