... knowing each other well enough that, when I'm standing in the shower and say, "Blurg", she correctly responds, "Well, at least they haven't called you yet."

(She having accurately parsed, "Blurg" to mean, "*Sigh*. There's still roughly a 50% chance that QA is going to find some horrible Engine bug today that I have to fix before the beta goes out the door tomorrow." Which is pretty impressive, considering that I didn't even allude to this at any point yesterday, having managed to put it out of my mind for a while...)

I consider that to be the normal state in a marriage. However, in our shire, the running gag is that Dagonell and Cigfran have one "uni-mind" between them because we do this sort of thing on a regular basis. I believe it was Duchess Dorinda who coined the phrase "uni-mind". :D

And here I thought marriage was the transition from your family nagging you to get married to your family nagging you about having kids...

My parents never nagged me about getting married or having kids, they don't have that kind of subtlety. :D Shortly after our honeymoon, we got a phone message to come over and pick up some second hand furniture for our house. It was *all* baby furniture!

I once leaned over to shut off the air conditioning in the truck. As I did so, I heard Wolfie's voice say, "Thank you." I was pretty sure he hadn't spoken aloud, so I asked to be sure.

He hadn't.

We get impressions and songs from each other all the time, but that was the first time I'd actually heard his voice. It was kewl.
