Remember that parking-spot app that I mentioned as a really great business opportunity? And remember how I said that Google would just love this one? Well, thanks to metageek for pointing out that they've caught on to the idea, and have already released roughly this app in Google Labs. Doesn't yet have the location-dependent advertising, and it needs more features, but it looks like a reasonable start...

Oh, right. I rarely post locked, so I don't even think about it, but when I come up with "Here's a great business plan", I tend to lock it so that my friends get first dibs if they want to run with it.

I want to see the apps people will develop for the new publicly-accessible real-time GPS data for MBTA buses.

Apparently, when they released the data (last fall) for the first five bus routes, they went out to lunch, and by the time they got back, somebody had already done a Google Earth app.
