msmemory pointed out the new MSN ad campaign to me yesterday. The print ads are merely suggestive, but the new TV ads are quite unambiguous: Microsoft's new mascot is a very nice 50/50 hybrid between the Tick and Arthur.
So could someone please explain to me why this is supposed to make me feel secure about using their service?

The classically minded among us may have noted a new TV ad for Microsoft's Internet Explorer e-mail program, which uses the musical theme of the "Confutatis Maledictis" from Mozart's "Requiem." "Where do you want to go today?" is the cheery line on the screen. Meanwhile, the chorus sings "Confutatis maledictis, flammis acribus addictis," which means: "The damned and accursed are convicted to flames of Hell." -- Katriena Knights
