Sometimes it pays to be good...
Jun. 21st, 2004 10:03 pmJust to follow up from a previous note: some time back, a newish member of Carolingia pressed into my hands a ripped copy of a CD labeled simply "La Notte". It was fun, but try as I might, I couldn't figure out how to get a legal copy. This irked me: when it's something I intend to listen to repeatedly, I greatly prefer to pay for it.
Well, as it happens, last week I stumbled onto the email address of Paul "the Hurdy-Gurdy Guy" Ash, and asked him about availability. Turns out that he still has copies for sale himself. I wrote him and ordered it, and today I got in the mail a real-and-for-true copy of La Notte Dei Cavalieri. And as a special bonus, he included a preprint copy of his forthcoming CD, Karpathos! Sweet! It's always nice when doing the ethical thing pays dividends...
