There. The inspector from the Fire Dept. has just left and we have the paperwork to prove that we finally (after four months) have a fully legal oil tank.

Now I just get to wait for the bill...

Hmm. On second thought, he probably doesn't want to hear *any* pitter or patter from his oil tank. ;-)

Well, heck -- we were doing that even before it was legal. First week we got it, even. Feeding booze to newborn tanks: irresponsible parents, us.

(We got the new oil tank just before that night in January that went down to bloody-flipping-cold, and had to get someone to come out and goose the oil with an alcohol shot. It was *not* reassuring to have to make a service call in the first week; fortunately, that hasn't recurred...)
