Bleed, memory, bleed!

Uh-huh. I just logged into my secondary machine for the first time in some days, and was rather startled to be told that my machine was running low on virtual memory, and had needed to have it increased. "Odd", think I, "I haven't *done* anything since I last logged in." Where is all that memory going?
A momentary glance at the Task Manager later, and I find that the GoogleDesktopDisplay process is taking up 1.7 Gigabytes of virtual memory. Roight. A fine reminder that plugin-based systems should always be considered irresponsible in their memory usage. I suspect that the program itself is okay (at least, I'd like to believe that Google isn't irresponsible enough to release something with so hideous a leak), but one of the plugins is presumably leaking all over the place. Time for some experiments, to figure out which...
